DDMIX is a Dance Fitness class created by the wonderful Darcey Bussell, prima ballerina and Strictly judge.
After retiring from professional dancing she wanted to create a fitness class that made dance fun and accessible for everybody.
There are no barriers to starting dance class!
This class is short routines based on popular dance styles, for example there is a Fred Astaire inspired 1940’s ‘tap’ routine, a Charleston, Bollywood and many more. There are currently over 30 styles in the programme and you will learn up to 9 routines per class.
DDMIX is completely suitable for absolute beginners. You do not need any dance experience just an interest in dance and willingness to laugh and have fun. Equally, this class is also suitable for those that already dance and want to try something that’s a fun workout and differs in style to formal dance classes such as ballet and tap.
I started doing DDMIX classes alongside my ballet training and loved it so much, I became an instructor.
