When I set up DanceA in 2018, I always said I didn’t want to teach people to dance – I wanted to teach people to keep on dancing!

Meaning that no matter what happens in life, we have to keep going.  We have to see our show through until the curtain closes!

In January 2019, I had to truly test this for myself.  My little 2 year old boy, Ted was diagnosed with leukaemia and I took a short break from teaching.

I have decided to return because I want to live up to my motto and dancing really does help, it is one of the best remedies for mental health.  The past few months have been very stressful and dancing will help me get through it so I invite you to join me!

No matter what goes on in life, we need to keep dancing! It is good for us on so many levels.  Physically, mentally and emotionally.

My classes aren’t about being the coolest fitness brand or the busiest class, we’re about dancing through life.  I’d rather have two people in the class who are being given happiness, joy and escapism through dancing than have a packed out hall of a really cool popular brand!

You don’t have to tell me your life story and motivation behind dancing but equally you are welcome to share your stories!  We’re a friendly bunch of ladies and all are welcome.  Nobody is too old, too big, too insecure, too stressed! There are no limits to dancing in my classes.

Get in touch and join us on the next course.  jo@danceA.co.uk or Facebook!
